Growing up on Long Island, and in New York City, Eddie Alvarez has had the great fortune of being exposed to great music and artists alike. From Rap, to freestyle, and its evolution to House Music, Eddie has developed an admiration for the complexity of a song, and how it makes us feel inside. While a student at NYU in the early 1990's, the dance fllors of Palladium, Limelight, Webster Hall, Danceteria, and other legendary New York City venues, were part of his playground. After a visit to Ibiza in 2004, not only did Eddie know that House Music was part of his life as a fan, but that he laso had to create as well.
As Eddie's professional life in medicine and dentistry grew, he had the distinct honor of having many of his favorite, and influential DJ's become part of his practice. From that business relationship also grew many friendships with the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Todd Gardner, Harry Choo Choo Romero, The Martinez Brothers, Junior Sanchez, Tedd Patterson, Nicole Moudaber, and Roger Sanchez, amongst others. As a friend of great artists, Eddie has had the ability to not only learn by hearing those artists play, but also by spending time with them in the booth learning the craft.
Djing publically since 2005, his sound has grown to reflect not only his NYC roots, but something that is appreciated by a varied audience. From House, to Tech House, Tribal House, Deep House, Soulful House, and Progressive House, Eddie is comfortable making any crowd move. Pacha NYC, Cielo, The Chelsea in Atlantic Ciry, and many other clubs in New York and New Jersey have been a home to his sounds. Eddie holds a residency at Exchange Los Angeles, and is booked regularly by Insomniac on the West Coast. In 2013, Eddie and his production partner DJ Dave Tobon came together for their first studio productions, a partnership that is ready to make a splash in the world of House.
