And so it goes that when you’ve crafted something to near perfection, and then it is lost to the internet, the urge to break things enters your head!! Alas my intro to this feature that took time, has been lost forever and I am raging inside!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn. It just won’t sound the same, but this will have to do, so lets move on!
For me, the name Felix Cartal automatically brings to mind a major drug kingpin that has a monopoly over a specific product. (yes, I’m aware it is spelled Cartel) In this case, it is music, not drugs that is being produced and if Mr. Cartal continues to churn out quality releases as he has been, he just could end up with the kingpin title.
So it comes as no surprise that his latest track, “Montreal Dreams”, continues on with his streak of stellar work. He must be reveling in satisfaction knowing that he understands what lies in the production of creating music that is efficacious in causing a crowd to roar. Music that consists of dirty, heavy beats, that will climactically strike something within and cause you to dance. And ultimately, isn’t that what we all want to do, is dance?? I say YES.
Felix has a lot in store for us in the coming months, so stay on watch! Below, a video, some tracks, remixes and lastly, an interview with answers to questions you’ve always wanted to know about Felix, including, his fear of haggis, headphone discos, and his personal website, which you will have to investigate on your own…
Felix Cartal playing Goose - Bring It On (JFK Remix), live at Arches in Glasgow 09/08/07. Arches looks quite cool and apparently the guy repeating “Oh my God Oh my God”, thinks so too. Enjoy!!
