Aside from being blasted on speakers all over the world, Paper Planes went platinum, will be at 2 million Digital Singles domestically in 2 weeks and reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 for over 6 weeks. Diplo has also been nominated for Best DJ of the Year and Best album of the Year for his latest mixtape DIPLOxSANTOGOLD in Urb Magazine.

This caps an incredibly successful and ambitious 2008 run for Diplo. He brought his high octane DJ sets to nearly every continent, was named checked on The Guardian’s Top 10 Producers of 2008 and NME’s Top 50 Artists of the Year. Production credits for the year include remixes for Radiohead, John Legend, Feist, Spoon, Hot Chip and Santogold.
