Based in Boulder, Colorado, Savoy has now begun to spread their music throughout the nation via touring, blogs, and fans from each new venue they perform at. After many sold-out shows, including Savoy's hometown Fox Theatre in Colorado, everyone is wanting to "get some action"—and Savoy is bringing it across the country.
Savoy is smashing the definition of electronic music with their big bass, live electronic show, and and their multi-faceted sound is painted in the colors of many influences, including French house, German minimal techno, rock, pop, hip-hop, 70’s funk and 80s dance classics. Seamlessly combining live drums, live PA and live mixing, Savoy is three strong versus the atypical single DJ, making for a rounded sound that touches on all reaches of the worldwide electronic music scene. The trio is masterful at re-mixing old tracks, sampling pop and hip-hop tracks, building their own creative beats, dropping floor-quaking bass and pushing the boundaries of a new electronica the world over.
The trio is Gray Smith, Ben Eberdt and Mike Kelly, three pioneers of a new beat that are creating something everyone can dance to. Known not just for their groundbreaking show, Savoy has a stage presence unmatched and a multi-media light show to go with it. In just a little over four years Savoy has primed itself for the elite of the global electronic culture, having already played major festivals such as Wakarusa and SONIC BLOOM. They have also shared the bill with the likes of Sound Tribe Sector 9, The New Deal, The Glitch Mob, Bassnectar and Medeski, Martin and Wood.
