a 29-acre site also located on Biscayne Bay, is seven blocks north of Bayfront Park. The park is currently undergoing a major transformation. Two institutions, the Miami Science Museum and the Miami Art Museum, are building new facilities and the City of Miami has embarked on a renovation of the remaining 21 acres, to include a Baywalk and other waterfront amenities. Examples of events hosted in the past are Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, Vans Warped Tour, and Cirque Du Soleil.
Unlike most outdoor facilities, the Bayfront Park Management Trust facilities are open twelve months per year. The beautiful Miami weather, with an annual average temperature of 76 degrees Fahrenheit, allows for year-round operation. The fact that Miami is a major market with over 2.3 million people in Miami-Dade County completes the equation.
