There is something so special about ModeSelektor. We aren't the only ones who feel it. Thousands flock to their gigs around the world. Music greats including Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke are so into the group that he sings on one of the tracks of their new album. Recording of that album, Happy Birthday, is now complete.
It is a brilliant follow-up to Hello Mom, which vaulted ModeSelektor to success. Flasher.com sat down with Gernot and Czarly of ModeSelektor for a conversation about the new album and about some of their recent shows. You'll learn a lot about Happy Birthday, even including how the new album, to be released in September, got its name. One of the oddities about electronic based music is that artists seldom achieve star status these days. We believe that ModeSelektor is the exception.
